There you have access to the object via the Event Args. New Object or something like that You can cast this property into the corresponding type and make your changes.
event is raised when an Update button within a Details View control is clicked, but before the update operation.
This is driving me batty as I cannotdo anything with my data. This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the update operation, whenever this event occurs.A Details View Update Event Args object is passed to the event handler, which allows you to determine the index of the record being updated and to indicate that the update operation should be canceled.Sounds like a strange problem given that you're not getting any errors. I found that when I used a separate Details View that's permanently attached to the single-row data source everything works fine.I just make one dv visible to add and the other one to update and everything is swell.Previous posts have said the sqldatasource Updated event has an exception in it, but I don't get any Updated event. Can anyone tell me how to get some clue what is happening?
